South Australian producers receive development funds
The South Australian Film Corporation has committed $435,000 for the development of 11 producers, including The Marriage of Figaro’s Peta Astbury.
The funds for the Producer Business Development Funding Program were increased to grow the state’s creative and producing base, before the opening of the Adelaide Film and Screen Centre next year.
Selected producers will receive between $20,000 and $50,000 per year, depending on the scope of their business plan – which must demonstrate its sustainability and the fact that the money would increase the company’s slate of projects and the producer’s relationships.
