Sparro by Brainlabs promotes within for newly created managing partner role

Sparro by Brainlabs has promoted Sarah Davidson to the newly created role of managing partner, to support the agency’s growth trajectory and expansion plans.

The independent digital marketing agency is looking to expand its capabilities to become a full-funnel media agency, and has appointed Davidson to advance these plans into the new year.

She will work closely with co-founders Morris and Cameron Bryant, using her 20 years of experience in media buying and executive leadership to improve the agency’s competitiveness across media.

Her appointment follows a hugely successful 2024, after Sparro was acquired by Brainlabs in January. The agency has since grown its headcount and has won over 20 new clients – including Under Armour, as revealed by Mumbrella.

While the role is new in the local market, it aligns with the global Brainlabs business structure. Sparro is said to be driving value for the global agency, supporting various clients including American Express and Estee Lauder.

“Sarah brings an exceptional depth of media knowledge that perfectly complements our client service ethos,” said Cameron Bryant, executive partner at Sparro.

“Her experience allows us to approach complex client challenges with a broader, more holistic media lens. With Sarah at the helm of client strategy, we’re in the best possible position to be as impactful as possible.”

The decision to transition to a full-funnel media agency comes after a noticed need for streamlined agency portfolios and more transparent ROI, according to Bryant.

“Our clients are telling us what they want loud and clear: more measurability across the entire marketing funnel,” he continued.

“In a tough market, they need a proven return on investment in marketing. By taking a digital-first approach to full-funnel media – supported by rigorous data science – we reckon we deliver on that request and fill a real gap in the market.”

Davidson will focus on strengthening Sparro’s relationship with executive leaders, addressing core business challenges through targeted, innovative strategies. Her appointment will also allow the co-founders to focus on wider picture things – including growing client leaderships and directing overall business strategy with Brainlabs.

“Outstanding results for clients are built on strong relationships, and those relationships rely on trust and open communication,” Davidson said.

“Over the last 12 months, Sparro has welcomed ambitious, growth-focused clients looking for media diversification and a true agency partnership. My goal is to help deepen those partnerships; breaking down communication barriers so we can uncover new growth opportunities together.”

She continued: “Sparro’s evolution from a performance agency to a full-service provider – driven by the values of a digital agency – has always been about delivering value and meeting the needs of clients.

“My focus will be on expanding our full-service offering to drive both immediate and long-term results for our clients through data-driven, full-funnel strategies.”
