Speed and Clemenger BBDO Sydney win MCoBeauty account

Clemenger BBDO Sydney has won the creative account for cosmetics brand MCoBeauty.

Meanwhile, the media buying and strategy account has been given to media agency Speed.

Clemenger BBDO Sydney will be fulfilling creative work for MCoBeauty

Effective immediately, the first piece of work for the agencies will be supporting MCoBeauty through its next phase of growth as it seeks to become a market leader.

Shelley Sullivan, founder and chief executive officer at Innovative Brands Group said in a statement: “Since starting ModelCo in 2002, we’ve taken great pride in our challenger spirit and approach to product development. As we look to the future, we realised we needed partners who shared that spirit, and in Clemenger BBDO Sydney and Speed we believe we’ve found the perfect fit.”

Clemenger BBDO Sydney managing director, Emily Perrett, said: “The brands that Shelley has built are truly innovative and great fun to work on. Their ambition excites us, and we’re looking forward to working with the team to take MCoBeauty to new audiences.”

Speed chief accelerator, Ian Perrin, added: “We love clients who are prepared to take a few risks, and there’s few better than MCoBeauty in the beauty category. We’re looking forward to getting started and helping continue to grow the business.”

UPDATE 18 April: In the original version of this story, Mumbrella reported Clemenger BBDO Sydney and Speed had won the Innovative Brqands Group account – consisting of sub-brands including ModelCo and MCoBeauty. It now appears this is not correct, and Mumbrella has updated the story accordingly. We apologise for any confusion caused.
