Splendid Communications wins Logitech

Logitech has appointed Splendid Communications to handle its PR.

The announcement:

Logitech, a global leader and innovator in digital peripherals and development of  consumer technology, has appointed Splendid Communications to manage public  relations for the ANZ market based on a one-year retainer.

In the past 12 months Logitech has made headway in new categories, with new product innovation including a range of tablet accessories. The decision to appoint Splendid reflects  the company’s evolving marketing strategy to incorporate the music and lifestyleorientated consumers while continuing to drive for greater share of voice in the tech space,  and a deeper focus in online and social community engagement in the digital space.

Splendid offers extensive experience in this arena and proven capabilities in engaging with  key influencers to reach a broader range of consumer.  Logitech launched in 1981 with mice, which provided a more intuitive way of interacting with a personal computer. Since those early days, their expertise in product design has expanded, with a broad portfolio of interface devices that are the “last inch” between you and your computer, digital music or home-entertainment system. With an established global presence, Logitech has tasked Splendid with the challenge of increasing brand awareness in ANZ and showing consumers how they can enjoy a better experience with Logitech devices.

Splendid Communications Director, Tim Freeland, says, “Logitech is a fantastic win for  Splendid Australia and a great fit within our portfolio of music, entertainment and lifestyle brands. Our knowledge and experience, from engaging tech media for visual FX based Bluray releases, to amplifying music platforms both on and offline, content creation, seeding and non-traditional PR techniques, perfectly complement the Logitech brand.”

Splendid commenced managing public relations, event management, influencer engagement, and sponsorship opportunities on July 2, 2012.
