Sports stars dig deep as snack brand YoPro launches Olympic push

Independent creative agency Emotive has developed a campaign for high protein snack brand YoPro featuring sports stars hoping to make their mark at the Tokyo Olympics.

The digitally-led push continues with the brand’s ‘every millimetre matters’ strapline and sees tennis ace Ash Barty, swimmer Kyle Chalmers and high jumper Brandon Starc going through the paces.

It launches via an extensive social seeding strategy including athlete, Australian Olympic Committee and YoPro social channels.

The Olympic campaign is the latest under YoPro’s Fuel Your Journey brand platform and focuses on the small margins that define success and failure.

Emotive lead creative Rory Pearson said: “We wanted this campaign to focus on our athletes’ personal journeys to the Olympics – their years of hard work, training, and all the little things that add up to help achieve their goals, including the right nutrition with YoPro.

“For all of them, it has been a long time in preparation. We just didn’t expect it to be this long! The fact that our Aussie athletes have needed to overcome even more obstacles this time around makes this campaign even more special.”

YoPro senior brand manager, Xavier Gonzalez added: “It’s been a long road to the Tokyo Olympics and we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Australian Olympic Committee to share Ash, Kyle and Brandon’s journey towards success with the support of YoPro’s high protein yoghurt, fuelling them to achieve that extra millimetre.”

Emotive’s previous iteration of the every millimetre matters messaging saw the brand illustrate a similar theme – that every little helps.
