Amid a poor result for the Liberal Party on Saturday night a number of media noted the poor mood in at the Liberal Party’s election HQ in the Sofitel ballroom.
The Sunday Telegraph went with the headline “Sober mood as party faithful lick wounds” and used a photo of a man and woman both with very serious faces on.
Unfortunately for the Telegraph’s photo desk no one bothered to check who the man and woman in question were…
Indeed the description of them “party faithful” might have been a completely correct with press gallery hack Andrew Tillett, who is The West Australian’s political reporter, questioning whether these two people are “the new face of the Liberal Party?”:
