Spreets hires Whybins for $4m push

Group buying site Spreets has appointed Whybin\TBWA\Tequila to spearhead an advertising push reportedly worth $4m.

The announcement:

Spreets.com.au, Australia’s No. 1 group buying site, has appointed Whybin\TBWA\Tequila to work across the brand. The appointment was made without a pitch.

Spreets launched in February 2010 and offers daily deals on restaurants, treatments and adventure packages in cities across Australia and New Zealand. It offers group-buying experiences that are unsurpassed in quality and value, and was consequently bought by Yahoo!7 in January 2011.

Whybin\TBWA\Tequila will commence work immediately on the Spreets brand with TV, print and online campaigns launching later this month.
