March 16, 2011 –

The St Vincent de Paul Society has awarded its national creative account to Sputnik Agency, following a five-way competitive pitch.

Sputnik was successful against a roster of agencies including incumbent, Clemenger Sydney, and is now tasked with driving Vinnies’ fundraising efforts in an ever increasingly competitive market.

“We are thrilled to be selected to partner with such an established charity and are looking forward to championing their worthy cause through some fantastic creative work,” said Stephen O’Farrell, Managing Director of Sputnik Agency.

“What Vinnies and our other recent business wins are telling us is that we’ve got the integrated formula right.

“And what that formula is is a high quality, digital core complemented with a well established offline service to complete a genuine integrated offering – something which has proven elusive for many agencies in the past.”

According to Carol Taylor, General Manager of Marketing and Public Relations for Vinnies, “Not only did we feel confident in the abilities of Sputnik to deliver on our diverse range of communication needs but the strong cultural fit made them a stand out option.”

Sputnik has been appointed by Vinnies to produce a range of integrated campaign elements including: website development; TV; radio and print advertising; direct marketing and strategic planning.

The St Vincent de Paul Society was established in Australia in 1854 and today seeks to focus public attention on social justice issues affecting the disadvantaged in our communities.
