Stan channels the ’80s in Hungry Eyes binge watching campaign

Streaming service Stan has launched a brand campaign #HungryEyes featuring a lip synching singer stalking a family while performing the 1980s Dirty Dancing hit, Hungry Eyes.

Created by Richards Rose, the one minute commercial shows the lip singer intruding on people watching Stan on the toilet, in the bath, on the couch and in bed.

The voiceover ends the commercial by saying “open wide hungry eyes and binge on the best with Stan, the biggest deal in entertainment”.

#HungryEyes is set to roll out this Sunday night.

Mike Sneesby, CEO of Stan, said in a statement: “Richards Rose have worked with us since we launched and have continued to deliver fantastic creative that is both effective and unique.”

Adam Rose, executive creative director and founder of Richards Rose, said: “When we launched Stan in 2015 we had little more than a name and a bold vision to play with. Now in 2017 there is some seriously desirable content on the menu and ultimately the latest campaign is a love story – one man’s longing for Stan’s irresistible line-up.

“Like a moth to a flame, he and his hungry eyes do whatever is necessary to take a closer look at any Stan infused screen. Absurd and audacious at times this was a sizable undertaking and we’ve had a heap of fun bringing it to market. I’d like to thank all our valued production partners – in particular Tim and the team at Scoundrel,” Rose said.
