Starts at 60 appoints content director and chief technology officer

The former homepage editor for News Corp’s The Australian, Christine Seib has returned to Australia after almost two years in Singapore to take on the role of content director Starts at 60.

Most recently Sieb was the APAC digital editor at CNBC International, based in Singapore, and before that was homepage editor at The Australian for 10 months and also the online business editor at the publication for almost two years.

Sieb’s appointment coincides with Starts at 60 appointing Liam McLennan to the newly-created role of chief technology officer.

McLennan is tasked with driving the development of digital platform solutions that support the business’ push into travel, data and real time audiences.

Prior to Starts at 60, McLennan was the principal consultant and digital manager at Readify for almost three years.

Starts at 60 also welcomed two other new team members this year.

Daniel Leeman joined in the role of UX/UI design after working at Super Retail Group previously.

Sharyn Swanepoel joined the digital content team as senior writer after most recently being employed at APN Australian Regional Media as chief of staff and photojournalist.

Rebecca Wilson, founder and CEO of Starts at 60, said in a statement: “The next stage of growth in Starts at 60 is powered by the clever decisions of an experienced team, and each of our new team members bring something very special to that.

“Christine and Liam bring a raft of leadership and technical experience to our business from their respective industries of media and software development. And Daniel and Sharyn are extraordinarily skilled. Each of these four combine well with our already electric and passionate team, making 2017 look very exciting from here.”

All new staff will be based in Brisbane.
