Stock by Getty Images partners with Dropbox

iStock by Getty Images and Dropbox have partnered to offer iStock customers a workflow enhancement that makes licensed images, video and audio files instantly available across all of their devices via Dropbox.

The announcement:

iStock by Getty Images, the original resource for superior royalty-free stock imagery, video, and audio from the crowd, and Dropbox have partnered to offer iStock customers an industry-leading workflow enhancement that makes licensed images, video and audio files instantly available across all of their devices via Dropbox.

With many iStock customers relying on Dropbox to access and share their files every day, the integration offers a swift, seamless workflow. Giving users the option to automatically sync all licensed assets directly into their Dropbox folder means that they will no longer need to manually download them one-by-one. Group collaboration will also be easier with automated syncing for image lightboxes launching soon, allowing anyone in a group to review a lightbox from any location on their device of choice.

“As our customers increasingly move from screen to screen, creating and consuming content at a faster pace than ever before, it’s never been more important to surface the content they need most on whatever device they’re using,” said Grant Farhall, Senior Director of Product/E-commerce at iStock by Getty Images.  “By integrating Dropbox directly into iStock, our customers can enjoy the unbeatable creative content they can’t find anywhere else, now automatically downloaded to their Dropbox folder every time they license an image.

Dropbox is fully embedded into iStock.com to enable a simple integration on all customer accounts including both single seat and multi-seat subscribers using iStock TeamShare, allowing customers to have downloads automatically placed in their Dropbox anytime they license an image.

Automated syncing directly from lightboxes will follow shortly, along with timeframe based syncing, enabling customers to retroactively sync content previously downloaded for up to twelve months using pre-determined time periods.

“Millions of creative professionals around the world rely on Dropbox as an integral part of their day-to-day workflows, so we’re excited to partner with iStock by Getty Images to better serve our mutual customers” said Alex Castellarnau, Head of Design at Dropbox. “With iStock’s premium content and our collaboration network, individuals and businesses can concentrate less on content management and more on creating amazing things together.”

To celebrate their partnership, iStock by Getty Images and Dropbox are offering two promotions:

  • Free three-month trial* of Dropbox Pro for any individual iStock annual subscription purchase or renewal (Essentials and Signature subscription plans);
  • Free three-month trial* of Dropbox For Business for any iStock TeamShare annual subscription purchase or renewal.
