Stone Bros.
We have copies of the Indigenous comedy Stone Bros., from Richard J. Frankland. It stars Luke Carroll, Leon Bruchill and Peter Phelps.
Stone Bros. is the irreverent story of city boys Eddie and Charlie, who embark on a spiritual journey to reconnect with their blackfella roots, but find a detour thanks to an evil ex-girlfriend, a demon dog and a lot of weed!
While the final result is reminiscent of other stoner films (Cheech & Chong, Harold & Kumar, Jay & Silent Bob, etc.), its setting is so unique and Frankland
Stone, but you would expect me to say that, given I was executive producer. Why? Have another look at the great scene in the Grave Diggers’ fort, where the joint goes around as the Diggers tell the undercover cop Stone, why they do what they do, and why they are what they are. The joint looked great, beautifully rolled, full shot, on the huge drivein screens.
If you get into the extras on Not Quite Hollywood you will hear me tell how I paid the Hells Angels in beer and dope.
All the best Miguel, David Hannay
