Straight Up PR launches event series Talking Straight Live
PR agency Straight Up PR, which specialises in health, wellbeing and lifestyle, has launched an event series called Talking Straight Live.
The announcement:
This month, health, wellbeing and lifestyle PR and Talent Agency, Straight Up PR have launched Talking Straight LIVE, a series of events focusing on creating connections and building communities.
Aimed at bringing conversations about all aspects of health to life in real time, the first Talking Straight LIVE, hosted on the 21st November, will explore the topic and question, “How Socially Healthy Are You?” via a panel of leaders in the space.
Hosted by TV Presenter, Teigan Nash, the panel consisting of Katie Williams, Gemma Peanut and Luke Mcleod, will delve straight into the topic of social health and provide insights and tips on how you can become more socially healthy, while also sharing their personal stories and thoughts about how they’ve developed and nourished meaningful relationships and the importance of interacting in healthy, positive ways.
“At Straight Up PR, we’re privileged to work with some of Australia’s leading health and wellbeing brands and experts. We connect daily and have inspirational conversations with these amazing humans in the industry and felt we needed to share this with our wider community. Talking Straight LIVE is a platform to learn from industry leaders, make meaningful relationships and to get vulnerable,” said Hannah O’Donnell, Founder and Managing Director of Straight Up PR.
With the roots of PR often being lost in email threads and Instagram DMs, Straight Up PR are passionate about building relationships and fostering real life connections and are bringing this to the forefront with the Talking Straight LIVE series.
O’Donnell continues, “Particularly with social media, it’s not uncommon to feel like we know someone because we follow them online, but imagine the real networks we could create if we used this medium and met up in person?”
“As humans, we crave connections and it’s important for our mental and physical wellbeing too. The way we relate to people around us, adapt to different social situations, and experience a sense of belonging all contribute to our social health. But to do this, we need to be comfortable with being vulnerable – it is key to connection because it is the courage to be open to another human.”
The first of the quarterly events will be held at Ruby Lane Wholefoods in Manly on 21st November 2019, kicking off with live music at 6.30pm accompanied by a nourishing plantbased spread and your choice of organic wine or kombucha, followed by a nourishing panel discussion and the opportunity to meet and mingle. All guests will leave with a goodie box to the value of over $250.

Given Mumbrella devoted generous airspace on the RUOK day and then subsequent mediocre feedback was my take out, that was everyone stood to attention on the day{maybe} and next morning when the clock struck 9 all was forgotten about the shared accountabilty between employer/employee.
Lots of discussion about staff and their challenges, i can tell you from 1st hand experience as a team leader that i have as many challenges as the next person, so mental health does not discriminate between sex, age and so on, it is what what it is, an illness that if treated by professionals can be managed, so those who suffer in silence do yourself a favour and go to black dog institute and watch a 4 minute video – cuts straight thru no sugar coating just FACT. Maybe this new initiative might devote some time to the subject given its about health and well being.
