Strategy heavyweight Catherine Heath returns to Australia for major M&C Saatchi role

catherine heathM&C Saatchi has hired the worldwide group planning director of TBWA\ Chiat\ Day Catherine Heath as its executive strategy director for Australia, Mumbrella can reveal. She starts today.

Heath, a graduate of the University of Sydney, has been working in the US operation of the TBWA network for two years.

Prior to that she spent a brief stint as chief strategy officer at Boston creative agency Modernista.

Heath’s move marks a return to M&C Saatchi where she worked as a strategic planner from 2001 to 2003. She then went on to do a similar role at Young & Rubicon (which has since become GPY&R).

Other roles then included creative planning director at Kastner & Partners and planning director at McCann Worldgroup’s San Fransisco based T.A.G.

Heath also own her own consultancy Once Upon A Time Brands.

She replaces head of strategy Colin Jowell who left M&C Saatchi in July to become MD pf FutureBrand Australia.

At the time of posting, M&C Saatchi was not immediately available for comment.
