Swift Media adds Peter Gibbons to board
Western Australian entrepreneur Peter Gibbons has joined the board of Swift Media Australia – a specialist out-of-home tech company focused on the mining and resources, residential aged-care, and health and wellbeing sectors – as an independent, non-executive director.
Gibbons is the co-founder and managing director of Openn Negotiation, an online auction site for real estate agents. He created Applord Technologies, and has also worked for Grant Samuel and Macquarie Bank.
Swift’s national CEO, Pippa Leary – who joined as chief executive last August – and Gibbons met attending the same college as students and have remained in touch throughout their careers.
Gibbons is also chair of Bethanie Group, Western Australia’s biggest not for profit aged care provider, and Vukelic Family Office. Previously, he was also a director of another aged care company, Silver Chain, and commissioner of the West Australian Football Commission.
“We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Swift Board,” chair Darren Smorgon said of the appointment, effective today.
“With his combination of business experiences and extensive networks in West Australia in our core verticals, his appointment strengthens Swift and supports our growth strategies. We look forward to his contribution as we continue our growth in these markets.”
In December 2018, the business acquired digital out-of-home network Medical Media.
Congratulations to the Swift team – great to see them continue to kick goals.
