Swysh and Matildas’ Katrina Gorry partner with the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation

Swysh – a video messaging platform – is donating a cut of profits to support the Fertility Research Centre at the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation. Matildas’ star Katrina Gorry is also lending her support.

The announcement:

Video messaging platform Swysh has partnered with Sydney’s Royal Hospital for Women Foundation ahead of Mother’s Day, donating a portion of profits from April and May to support the hospital’s Fertility Research Centre (FRC).

The partnership came to life thanks to Matildas star Katrina Gorry who’s passion for making fertility treatment more accessible stems from her own journey to motherhood.

Gorry became a solo parent through IVF, welcoming daughter Harper in August 2021 after deciding to sit out the Matildas’ 2020 Olympics campaign to become a mother.

“The path to motherhood isn’t always straight forward. Many people struggle with fertility challenges,” Gorry said.

“The Royal Hospital for Women’s Fertility Research Centre makes access to high quality fertility care possible.”

“I’m really proud to be part of this initiative to support women and couples through IVF, making the impossible possible.”

Royal Hospital for Women Foundation general manager Elise Jennings thanked Swysh and Katrina for their support.

“We are beyond thrilled to accept the generosity of Swysh and Katrina in supporting fertility research and treatment at The Royal, to help make motherhood possible for more women,” Ms Jennings said.

“To have Katrina involved in this campaign is incredibly special given her own personal journey to motherhood was not straightforward. She understands what many women who visit the FRC are going through.”

At least 10 percent of all profits made until 31 May will be donated to the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, with Katrina Gorry among the hundreds of stars available through Swysh to record personalised messages for special occasions like Mother’s Day.
