Sydney Opera House’s trailer in fictional language for November ‘In Conversation With’

The Sydney Opera House has created a new online campaign promoting an ‘In Conversation With’ session, with author George R.R. Martin and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, in the fictional language of Dothraki.

Created in-house the ad was produced by Invisible Artists and was released online as a 45 second promotion for the event, which will be held in November.

The ad features numerous shots of the Opera House covered in snow, with a voiceover in Dothraki, a barbaric language from the popular HBO TV series Game of Thrones.

The narration is provided by David J Peterson, a linguist who also worked on the HBO series.

The description of the video provides a translation, saying: “Winter is coming… Game of Thrones best-selling author George R.R. Martin and Emmy award-winning actor Peter Dinklage will take to the stage of the Sydney Opera House for one night only in a must-see event for any fan. For more information visit www.sydneyoperahouse.com/gameofthrones Tickets go on sale soon, register now to be part of an exclusive pre-sale opportunity.”
