Tasmania launches campaign to attract Sydneysiders to the Apple Isle

The Tasmanian government has launched a campaign to attract Sydney dwellers to the island’s cheaper and less stressed lifestyle.

Featuring local actor Mick Davis, the You In A Year campaign features an online survey for stressed mainlanders to discover the part of the Tasmania that matches their lifestyle and employment ambitions.

Developed by The 20, which rebranded from Clemenger Tasmania last July, the campaign boasts a dedicated You in a Year website, supported by screen pieces promoted through the linked Make It Tasmania website, YouTube channel and social media sites.

“The You in a Year campaign is fun, engaging and helps individuals create their own Tasmanian story and to picture what life could be like if they made the move to our state,” a Department of State Growth spokesperson told Mumbrella.

“The campaign showcases our enviable lifestyle and illustrates how a move to Tasmania could be the answer to a happier and healthier life with more time and space.”

Depending on how well the campaign performs in the Sydney market, the campaign may be adapted for other mainland cities next year, the spokesperson said.
