TBWA Adelaide hires creative duo Patrick O’Reilly and Mark Atherton
TBWA Adelaide has hired a new creative team in Patrick O’Reilly and Mark Atherton.
The Adelaide office was opened in 2018, after TBWA picked up the creative account for the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) earlier that year.
O’Reilly and Atherton will focus on TBWA’s clients in Adelaide, but will also work with the team in Melbourne on the agency’s national clients.
The pair join TBWA from KWP, the agency which previously held the SATC account.
Adelaide and Melbourne chief creative officer, Paul Reardon, welcomed O’Reilly and Atherton to the agency.
“We’ve always known there’s wonderful creative talent in Adelaide. Every single creative we spoke with in our search proved this,” he said.
“Patrick and Mark showed such a keen interest for work in completely unexpected media channels. It was really exciting to hear the way they think. It’s also worth mentioning the support and encouragement we’ve received from the Adelaide creative community in making this hire has been awesome, and we really appreciate it.”
Joe Goodsell, executive partner, added: “The virtual operating model set up in 2018, crossing state borders, has been incredibly successful and as the agency continues to grow, we’re pleased to deepen our capabilities and open up further opportunities for local talent.
“We are thrilled to have Patrick and Mark joining our team. We look forward to seeing what they will add to our global collective.”
