Telstra demonstrates how 5G can change lives in new campaign

Telstra has launched a campaign to promote its 5G network which is rolling out across the country.

The ad shows a family caught in traffic on the way to the airport, which fortunately gives a father enough time to download his kids’ favourite TV show on his phone before they get on the flight.

The new campaign follows the appointment of Jeremy Nicholas as its new chief marketing officer.

Two years ago, following the exit of former CMO Joe Pollard, the telco decided to ‘decentralise’ the position.

The campaign is promoting the network as ‘Australia’s best 5G’. It was made by The Monkeys, Telstra’s long standing creative agency.

Last year, Telstra and The Monkeys released a campaign celebrating female business owners and thanking women in business who stood up for other women in the workplace, ahead of its 25th Business Women’s Awards.

Telstra and The Monkeys were contacted for comment.
