Ten remains behind ABC as Nine wins fourth consecutive offical ratings week

Nine has won its fourth consecutive offical ratings week thanks to the success of its reality TV show, Married at First Sight.

In contrast, Ten failed to beat the ABC yet again as the network’s main channel recorded a share of 10.2%, a small improvement on last week’s 9.7%. ABC drew 13.2% for its main channel throughout the week.

Married at First Sight dominated the top programs, with the Sunday night commitment ceremony episode topping the list with 1.451m metro viewers. The show’s success gave Nine a 22.5% main channel share.

Nine was also the most watched among advertising demographics 25-54s, 16-39 and shopper with child.

Seven was the next closest in terms of main channel audience share, with 19.4% of the audience, thanks in part to its news offering and My Kitchen Rules. The top performing MKR show of the week was its Tuesday night offering, which pulled in 753,000 viewers.

Seven’s most-watched show of the week was its Sunday night news program, which attracted 935,000 metro viewers.

None of Ten’s shows made the top 20 for the week.

On Saturday night, the most watched show was Seven’s news offering, with 747,000 metro viewers. ABC attracted the second-highest metro viewers with Death in Paradise attracting 686,000.

Nine’s top show was its news program, which pulled in 632,000 metro viewers. Part two of Ten’s Michael Jackson documentary, Leaving Neverland, was its most-watched show for the evening with 314,000 metro viewers.
