Ten manages 9.7% weekly share as Nine wins third consecutive offical ratings week

Ten has finished the ratings week with a 9.7% overall audience share.

This is the third week in a row Ten hasn’t managed to crack an audience share of more than 10%.

Last week the channel managed a 9.8% share, while the week before that is saw a 9.8% share.

Meanwhile, Nine has just won its third consecutive official ratings week with an overall audience share of 23.4%. Comparatively Seven managed a 19.8% share, ABC saw a 12.7% share while the SBS attracted a share of 4.5%.

Married at First Sight (MAFS) helped Nine to the weekly ratings win as it made up the top four most watched programs for the week.

Nine’s Sunday night episode of MAFS was the most watched program of the week as 1.659m metro viewers tuned in.

Monday’s show attracted 1.298m viewers, while Wednesday and Tuesday had audiences of 1.274m and 1.261m respectively.

The reality TV program also managed to top the key advertising demographics 25-54, 16-39 and grocery shopper with child.

In the Broadcaster Video On Demand (BVOD) rankings, Married at First Sight is the most streamed series with the first 17 episodes reaching a VPM of more than 340,000.

Seven’s most watched program for the week was Seven News as it attracted 919,000 metro viewers.

While rival free to air network Ten didn’t manage to have a program make the top 20 most watched shows of the week.

In the 25-54 demographic Nine beat out its rivals again with a 27.5% share ahead of Seven’s 18.9% share, Ten’s 12.1%, ABC’s 6.8% and SBS’ 2.4% share.

Meanwhile in the 16-39 demographic Nine saw a 29.1% share again beating Seven’s 18.8%, Ten’s 12.5%, ABC’s 5.3% and SBS’ 2.1%.
