A blatant ripoff of of Modern Family, without the likeable characters. Deserves to die.

The biggest disappointment would be ‘Homeland’. Won a slew of Emmy awards and was ‘fast-tracked’ here, but still couldn’t lift in the ratings stake. Network Ten wouldn’t be very happy.

Not sure New Normal is anything like Modern Family aside the gay characters.
Does that mean any show with a gay character or two is a Modern Family rip off?
Not saying it’s good or bad but it’s really nothing like MF.

@ Shamma… It’s bad…. The audience might be up but so was every bodies audience last night. That’s why they slipped from 16th to 19th. Stop being positive start being realistic. It’s bad.

not surprised at the poor début…..reckon it will do worse next week . Acting was terrible…true….Homeland to me was the far bigger disappointment. how much extra would it have cost Ten to fast track it?

The New Normal is a great show, and it gets better as it goes on, I really hope Ch10 stick it out. Not like they have anything to replace it with that will rate any better…

I agree with Justin… I love The New Normal and all my gay friends are enjoying it as well. My partner and I lay together and get a great laugh and sometimes a tear watching it…. I also love Modern Family and have seen all the seasons… I wouldn’t compare MF to NN… They are completely different shows…
