Ten’s Show Me The Movie reaches more than 400,000 viewers

Rove McManus’ new show Show Me The Movie pulled its biggest audience since launch last night, with 423,000 metro viewers tuning in to the 7:30pm show.

The show premiered in March with 545,000 viewers across the five metro cities but since then has dipped below the 400,000 mark, averaging 372,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, The Project 6:30pm pulled in 309,000 metro viewers. The edition featured special co-host Rebel Wilson, who is in Australia fighting a legal battle against publisher Bauer Media.

Despite an improvement for Show Me The Movie, Seven’s Home and Away was the most watched entertainment program for the evening, with 646,000 metro viewers.

On Nine, the NRL clash between the Canterbury Bulldogs and the Sydney Roosters grabbed 334,000 across Sydney and Brisbane. The biggest audience was from Sydney last night with 200,000.

The 6pm news bulletin was won by Seven once again, with 990,000 metro viewers tuning in across the network.

Nine News’ audience had 839,000. Looking across the cities, Nine’s biggest audience came from Sydney, which was slightly ahead of Seven News, but Seven dominated across Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

However despite Seven’s prominence across news and entertainment, Nine’s share was higher – at 20.1%. Seven finished with an 18.8% share and Ten’s share was 12%. ABC and SBS had shares of 11.3% and 4.9%.
