The AFL kicks straight for Seven as first Gather Round lands a Thursday win

Thursday night AFL handed Seven another entertainment crown as the network also won the overnights.

The game between the Adelaide Crows and the Carlton Blues brought in 477,000 metro viewers, while topping the key advertising demo of 16-39s.

It was followed in entertainment by Seven’s The Chase Australia with 464,000.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on Ten pulled in 382,000 metro viewers in overnights. The network’s Gogglebox aired to 364,000 metro viewers.

Notably, in the latest Daily Consolidated 7 report for 6 April, I’m A Celebrity last Thursday saw the biggest uplift of 50% with 779,000 Total TV viewers and 170,000 on national BVOD.

However, the #1 show in the report was Seven News with 1.291 million Total TV viewers, with a 3% uplift and 32,000 on national BVOD.

Furthermore, in Thursday overnights, Seven News was the #1 metro program with 904,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 873,000 and Nine News with 704,000.

As mentioned, Seven won the night with an overall network share of 33.5%, followed by Nine with 25.3%, Ten with 18.6% and ABC with 14.5%.

The top-rated primary channel of the night was Seven with 23.8%, and the top-rated multichannel was 7Mate with 4.1%.
