The Bachelorette delivers 543,000 metro viewers for its second outing

The Bachelorette’s second episode has brought 543,000 metro viewers to Ten on Thursday night and 703,000 national viewers.

The sixth season of the dating format premiered on Wednesday night to 628,000 metro viewers – the lowest premiere in the history of the program.

This season is the first in the world which sees two bachelorettes – sisters Elly and Becky Miles – in the titular role.

Googlebox aired on Ten after the episode, delivering 613,000 metro viewers and 800,000 nationally. It also topped the 25-54 key advertising demographic, while The Bachelorette topped the 16-39s and 18-49s.

Nine’s programming for the night included Paramedics at 7.30 (403,000 metro viewers) and Kings Cross ER (341,000 metro viewers). Seven aired The Heat (102,000 metro viewers).

On ABC, 391,000 metro viewers watched the Opposition response to the 2020 Budget and 335,000 for 7.30.

The win for the night went to Seven with an 18.0% channel share and a 29.1% network share. Nine delivered 17.2% and 24.6% and Ten 15.7% and 22.3%. ABC held 10.2% and 15.7%. The most-watched multi-channel was 7mate with 5.1%.
