The Barnes family pulls a crowd for ABC

A moving episode of Australian Story centred around Jimmy and Janes Barnes’ daughter Elly-May and her struggles with cerebral palsy has garnered over half a million viewers across the five capital cities.

Australian Story drew 512,000 for the ABC, who took 19.5% of the overall market share for Monday night.

Over on Ten, Dessert Masters continues to perform for the network, pulling 449,000 viewers (Ten took 18.6% overall), while A Current Affair (662,000) helped Nine capture 26.5% of the total audience.

Seven won the night, however, with its new pulling over 900,000, and The Chase and a double Home and Away doing the job for the network, who took 28% of the Monday night market.
