The Big Issue to launch social media campaign

Street magazine The Big Issue will launch a social media campaign next week – aimed at helping homeless women get off the street.

The annoucnement:

Next week marks the beginning of The Big Issue’s first ever social media campaign and we are turning to our online friends to help us make it an absolute success!

We believe that sometimes all it takes to turn your life around is for one person to give you a chance. So during Anti-Poverty Week 2010 (October 17-22) we will be running our Everyone Needs A Chance campaign and asking Australia to share with us when somebody has given them a chance!

Encourage your friends, staff, readers and networks to take part and help us to inspire homeless women as they embark on their own life changing journeys through their involvement with the Women’s Subscription Enterprise. And if that wasn’t motivation enough, you could also win a yearly subscription to Australia’s biggest street magazine The Big Issue!

Become a fan of our page on www.facebook.com/TheWSE, follow us on www.twitter.com/thebigissue or send in your responses to shareyourstory@bigissue.org.au

Responses will be collated each day and at the end of the week the ones with the most ‘likes’ or ‘retweets’ will be given announced as the winner!

Promotional material including Facebook Posts, Web Tiles and Tweets can be downloaded at http://womens.thebigissue.org.au/everyone-needs-a-chance/ so you can spread the word through your own channels!
