The Biggest Loser blurred shirtThe Biggest Loser grabbed its biggest audience of the season so far with a second makeover episode of the dieting show lifting its audience by 260,000 viewers on last Tuesday’s outing.

Ten’s TBL Families managed 814,000 viewers, up from just 555,000 last week as eliminated contestants were brought back for a makeover in the 7.30pm timeslot, besting Monday’s 732,000 according to OzTam metro overnight ratings.

Appetites for the cricketing duel between Australia and New Zealand also waned as the final day of the second test ground to an inevitable draw, with 792,000 tuning into the third session to watch Mitchell Johnson take claim his final test victims on Nine.

That session was on from 7pm AESDT with The Block airing afterwards and seeing its audience sink below The X Factor with 861,000 to 920,000, although the renovation show did top all the demographics.

However Nine still squeaked a win for the day with an audience share of 21.1 per cent to Seven’s 20.5 per cent. Ten had 14.7 per cent and ABC 12.1 per cent.

The Block was up against the Oddest animal Couples on Seven, which had 713,000 viewers at 8.4opm.
