The Block wins entertainment 4 nights in a row as Nine takes Thursday

Nine’s The Block was again the #1 entertainment program for the fourth time on Thursday night, as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.

The Block brought in a metro audience of 849,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos.

An episode of Ten’s Gogglebox was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 634,000, followed by Seven’s Home And Away which saw 565,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven’s The Chase Australia was next with 507,000 metro viewers, while an episode of Nine’s Hotseat aired to 440,000 metro viewers.

An episode of ABC’s Forgein Correspondent was next which had 414,000 metro viewers, followed by an episode of ABC’s Sammy which has a metro audience of 340,000.

The #1 program on Thursday was Nine News, which had an average of 1.19 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News with 1.01 million metro viewers, and Seven News at 6:30 with 966,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 33.3% over Seven’s 21.9% share, while Ten had a 20.5% network share while the ABC had 15.7%.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 30 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across metro linear, with 1.065 million viewers including 38,000 on national BVOD.

Home AndAway was the #1 entertainment program again with 1.134 million viewers, including a national BVOD audience of 137,000 views, an uplift of 20%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was a late episode of Home And Away which had a 22% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 1.071 million viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 139,000.
