The Block wins entertainment 4th night this week as Nine takes Wednesday
Nine’s The Block was again the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.
The Block brought in a metro audience of 902,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos.

SAS Australia on Seven was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 643,000, followed by Seven’s Home And Away which saw 594,000 metro viewers tune in.
Nine’s episode of Paramedics was closely behind with 593,000 metro viewers, while an episode of Seven’s The Chase Australia aired to 587,000 metro viewers.
An episode of ABC’s Hard Quiz was next which had 577,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 500,000 metro viewers.
The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.106 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6.30 with 1.07 million, and Nine News with 1.066 million metro viewers.
As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 31.9% over Seven’s 27.9% share, while the ABC had a 16.7% network share just pipping Ten’s 15.8%.
Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 3.6%.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 22 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.837 million viewers including 43,000 on national BVOD.
The Block was the #1 entertainment program again with 1.486 million viewers, including a national BVOD audience of 198,000 views, an uplift of 27%.
The program with the biggest uplift however was an episode of Seven’s The Rookie which had a 69% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 508,000 viewers overall.
