The Block wins entertainment for 3rd night, as Nine also takes overall network share

Nine’s The Block was the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night and has been for three consecutive days this week, as the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The Block brought in a metro audience of 898,000, while also winning all key advertising demos.

ABC’s premiere episode of Gruen was next in entertainment pulling in a metro audience of 657,000, while Seven’s Home And Away had 578,000 metro viewers.

ABC’s Hard Quiz brought in 552,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia which had a metro audience of 526,000, while an episode of SAS Australia on Seven aired to 560,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.026 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6.30 with 970,000 and Nine News with 937,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.5% over Seven’s 26.8%, while Ten had a 16.1% network share, and ABC had 17.3%.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 3.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 6 October, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear television, with 1.585 million viewers, and 35,000 on BVOD.

The Block was #1 entertainment program with 1.504 million viewers, including a BVOD audience of 182,000 views, an uplift of 22%, surpassing Nine News and Nine News at 6:30pm

The program with the biggest uplift was an episode of ABC’s Frayed which had an overnight uplift of 47% and total audience of 474,000.
