The Chase Australia gives Thursday entertainment crown to Seven

Seven’s game show The Chase Australia has topped Thursday entertainment, but it was the network’s Thursday Night AFL and Nine News that split the wins of three key advertising demos.

The Chase Australia brought in 429,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s Thursday night footy with 406,000 metro viewers.

Hot Seat on Nine attracted 364,000 metro viewers, while Home and Away on Seven aired to 362,000.

Thursday night NRL on Nine was again shy in numbers compared to AFL with 355,000 metro viewers, followed by Gogglebox on Ten with 350,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Thursday was Seven News with 788,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 748,000, Nine News with 735,000 and Nine News at 6:30 with 718,000.

Seven network won the night with a 32.9% share, followed by Nine with 29.2%, Ten with 15.5% and ABC with 14%.

The top-rated primary channel was Seven with a 22.6% share and the top-rated multi-channel was 7Two with 4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 16 March, Seven News last Thursday was the #1 program nationally with 1.266 million Total TV viewers, including 32,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

The program with the biggest uplift was Gogglebox, 38%, on Ten, with 731,000 total TV viewers and 25,000 on national BVOD.
