The Chase Australia wins Thursday entertainment; Seven takes the night

The Chase Australia aired to 493,000 metro viewers and scored another entertainment win for Seven. The network also topped the overall share on Thursday night.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! on Ten followed in overnight entertainment with 464,000 metro viewers, while Seven’s evergreen drama Home and Away aired to 455,000 metro viewers.

A late viewing of Home and Away brought in another 398,000 metro viewers for Seven, while Ten’s Gogglebox attracted 381,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Thursday night, however, was Seven News with 885,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 876,000, which also topped all three key advertising demos.

Nine News aired to 720,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 was watched by 686,000.

In overnight network shares, Seven (27.8%) came ahead of Nine Network (26.5%), while Ten had 21.3% and ABC had 16.6%.

Seven and Nine tied as the top-rated primary channel with an 19.8% share each, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.6%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 20 April, Seven News was the #1 program nationally last Sunday with 1.428 million Total TV viewers, including 40,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift of 42% was Gogglebox on Ten with 719,000 Total TV audience and 33,000 on national BVOD.
