In a video interview recorded for Encore, Angelos Frangopoulos talks about how he is about to lead Sky News into its first head-to-head election with a rival news channel following the launch of ABC News 24 in 2010.
Frangopoulos began his media career as a reporter in the 1980s and has been with the Australian News Channel since shortly after its inception in 1996. In that time he has turned 24-hour news offering Sky News into a credible source of news and current affairs, launched the Sky News Business channel and taken over the Weather Channel.

News 24 is a free to air news service which is availaleto all australians. sky news is a pay tv news service.which the majority of australians do not have access to as the majority of australians do not have pay tv. until sky news is available to all australians there is no competition. News 24 is a far superior news service. Sky news is totally dependant on the three free to air commercial networks for its content .
