The Ex-Prime Minister drops while The Bachelorette rises ahead of finale tonight

Shaun Micalleff’s new show The Ex-Prime Minister dropped 140,000 viewers from its debut last week last night pulling an audience of just 660,000 on ABC at 9pm last night.

The Bachelorette was the most-watched show of the evening with 1.026m tuning in to the penultimate episode of the season at 7.30pm, up from last week’s 879,000 viewers. It was the most watched non-news show of the night, and topped all the demographics.

While the Ex PM dropped Gruen held steady for the ABC with 904,000 viewers at 8.30pm, comfortably winning its timeslot ahead of The Celebrity Apprentice on Nine which had 561,000 and The Blacklist on Seven which managed 535,000.

The Ex PM and Gruen were also the most time shifted shows from last week with 134,000 and 131,000 extra viewers respectively.

Seven’s Border Security had 881,000 at 8pm while a repeat of Highway Patrol at 7.30pm had 860,000.

Nine News at 6.30pm won the night with 1.038m, up from 1.027m at 6pm, ahead of Seven’s 1.007m at 6pm and 997,000 at 6.30pm.

Seven and Nine actually tied for honours with main audience share with 17.7 per cent, while 15.8 per cent and ABC on 13.8 per cent.

On pay-TV Gogglebox managed 127,000 viewers on the Lifestyle Channel, down slightly on last week’s 130,000 national viewers.
