The Hallway creates construction industry app

Sydney creative agency The Hallway has created an app targeting the construction industry.

The announcement:

The Hallway has launched an iPhone app for Knauf, the global leader in lightweight construction systems.

A first for the construction industry, the ‘Knauf Australia’ app allows architects, specifiers, contractors and builders to quickly find the building solution most suitable to their needs. It does this through a set of advanced filters that search through more than 9,000 systems. Users can then view detailed specifications, images, and can favourite items for future reference.

Brad Bennett, head of digital at The Hallway, said: “We developed this app for Knauf to help distill their 9,000 system configurations into mobile format for their customers – making their jobs easier, wherever they are.”

Dan McMillan, director strategy and development at Knauf, said: “The ‘Knauf Australia’ app is an innovative response to our customers’ needs. We hope that through the app we are placing convenience in our customers’ hip pockets whilst ensuring we see more Knauf products at building sites.”

The ‘Knauf Australia’ app can be downloaded free from iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/knauf-australia/id586863344?mt=8
