The Hallway hires creative director Iain MacMillan
The Hallway has hired Iain MacMillan as creative director in its Melbourne office.
MacMillan builds out the creative team, which also includes recently promoted CDs in Sydney Jess Thompson and Aldo Ferretto. His appointment also comes after The Hallway hired Hugh Nairn as its national managing director, based in Melbourne.
The staff changes have been attributed to momentum gained by new business wins, including a CX project for Kmart last year and the creative account for Foxtel’s entertainment streaming service Binge.
MacMillan joins after a stint at CHE Proximity Melbourne as a senior creative. His career spans The Royals, FCB, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and Special Group across Australia and New Zealand.
MacMillan said of his appointment: “I’m a strong believer in the power of creativity to grow businesses. Simon and Jules have built an impressive agency with this as their guiding purpose and I’m excited about channelling this focus into creating groundbreaking work for our clients.”
ECD and partner, Simon Lee, commented: “With Iain as creative director in Melbourne and Jess Thompson and Aldo Ferretto recently promoted as CDs in Sydney, our creative lineup is stronger than ever; a brilliant team that is laser-focused on driving great business results through world class creativity.”
