The Hallway wins Australian Cherries PR account

PR agency The Hallway has won the Australian Cherries public relations account.

The announcement:

The Hallway has been hand-picked by Australian Cherries for PR, social media and experiential duties following a competitive three-way pitch.

The independent advertising agency launched their PR offer in January 2013 with a vision of breaking PR out of its silo and embedding consumer PR capabilities, spearheaded by PR veteran Louise Pogmore, into the agency to leverage the potent fusion of PR when it’s complemented by the broader capabilities of the advertising agency.

Elisa Tseng, marketing manager Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL), said: “The Hallway really demonstrated the benefits of an integrated approach. Their response to our brief went above and beyond traditional PR to move us out of our comfort zone and make a big impact – we’re really excited about working with The Hallway and starting the cherry season with a bang this year.”

Louise Pogmore, head of PR at The Hallway, added: “The success of this pitch is a testament to the power of PR when it harnessesthe strategy and creative powerhouses of the advertising agency. Our integrated agency model allowed us to develop big creative PR ideas for Australian Cherries that break through the sea of sameness and deliver results.”

Australian Cherries joins the growing PR list of clients at The Hallway including Mizone, Tourism and Events Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and Whitsundays.

HAL works closely with the Australian cherry industry’s Research, Development and Marketing Programs.
