In his new role, Coupland will be overseeing the creative and strategic operations for The Haus group, which has agencies including Hausmann, Health Haus, Banter, Illuminate, Ground and HSPR.

Coupland stated that the ambitions of the group attracted him to the position.

“I am really excited to be joining The Haus. Aside from joining one of Australia’s most respected marketing agencies, the ambitions of the group and the drive of the leadership team matched the challenge I was looking for. Nowhere else in Australia offers the chance to work with five growing agencies under one roof,” Coupland said.

CEO of The Haus, Judi Hausmann, said in a statement: “We are excited to welcome David to The Haus. He’ll be working across our five agencies to continue to build on our strong strategic capabilities. 2019 is shaping up to be an invigorating year in the Haus with ambitious growth plans for each of our agencies as our unique model is embraced by both existing and new clients. David couldn’t have started at a more exciting time!”

Coupland’s appointment comes after Raje Hiranand was appointed as general manager of Hausmann in February.
