The Loved Ones moves to August
Madman Entertainment has pushed back the release of horror film The Loved Ones to mid-August 2010; the actual release date has not been confirmed yet.
Sean Byrne’s horror film premiered at last year’s Melbourne International Film Festival and, internationally, at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the audience award at the genre-based Midnight Madness program.
The film tells the story of a guilt-ridden teenager who, on the night of his school formal, finds himself captured by a girl and her father, who have pretty bad intentions with him. It stars Xavier Samuel, Robin McLeavy and John Brumpton.
It was produced by Omnilab Media’s Ambience Entertainment, with support from the MIFF Premiere Fund, Film Victoria and Screen Australia.
Moved to September now apparently.
