The Masked Singer grand finale draws just 648K metro viewers

The Masked Singer’s grand finale episode, which saw international singer Anastacia, crowned the winner, aired to 648,000 metro viewers on Tuesday night, while a metro audience of 771,000 tuned in to watch the final reveal in the last ten minutes of the episode.

Last year’s finale episode of the show aired to over one million metro viewers.

International singer, Anastacia, has been crowned the winner in the final reveal of The Masked Singer Australia season three.

Nine’s The Block was the #1 entertainment program on Tuesday night, as the network also celebrated an overall network share win, two nights in a row.

The Block brought in a metro audience of 893,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos for the second time this week.

Seven’s Home And Away was next in entertainment pulling in a metro audience of 614,000, followed by Seven’s SAS Australia which had 565,000 metro viewers tune in.

Nine’s The Weakest Link brought in 533,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia which saw 516,000 metro viewers tune in.

An episode of Hot Seat on Nine pulled in 403,000 metro viewers, followed by an episode of ABC’s The Greek Islands with Julia Bradbury that brought in 379,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Tuesday was Seven News at 6:30, which had 1.035 million metro viewers, just pipping Seven News with 1.033 million, and Nine News with 958,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 30.5% over Seven’s 26.4%, while Ten had a 19.8% network share, and ABC had 15.4%.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Tuesday was 7TWO with a share of 3.5%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 28 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.727 million viewers including 39,000 on BVOD.

The Block was #1 entertainment program with 1.439 million viewers, including a BVOD audience of 197,000 views, an uplift of 25%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was an episode of Seven’s SAS Australia which had a 34% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 1.135 million viewers overall and a BVOD audience of 162,000.
