The Monkeys awarded $1.65m contract for national recycling campaign

The Federal Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has awarded a $1,650,0000 contract to Accenture Interactive’s The Monkeys for advertising.

According to AusTender, the contract is for the development of a national recycling campaign, with the contract period running from 1 November 2021 to 30 June 2022.

The Monkeys added ten staff to its creative department early in November, including several copywriters.

In terms of government work, The Monkeys released the Positive Energy campaign for the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources back in September of this year.

The Monkeys have also recently released campaigns for David Jones, Australia Post and BCF.

Mumbrella has contacted both the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and The Monkeys for comment but neither responded in time for publishing.
