The Pistol announces new CEO as Jaime Nosworthy resigns

(L-R): Jaime Nosworthy, Chloe Lane
Full-service marketing agency The Pistol has revealed that Chloe Lane has entered the business as its new CEO.
Lane will replace long-term CEO Jaime Nosworthy. Nosworthy joined the agency a decade ago — when it was known as Tiger Pistol — working her way up to chief client officer, before becoming CEO in 2021.
Nosworthy will continue working at The Pistol “for the next few months” to help Lane transition into her new position.
“The Pistol is ready to enter its next chapter, building on the incredible success over the last 14 years. I am so grateful for my 10-year journey in this business, working and collaborating with world-class talent and client partners,” she said in a media release.
“I am thrilled to hand the reins to Chloe. She has decades of experience leading meaningful strategic shifts while maintaining a people-led approach. Our transition will be careful and collaborative to ensure we maintain the great momentum we have experienced in 2025 so far.”
Prior to joining The Pistol, Lane spent close to two and a half years at creative platform Genereo, working as its managing director for global client solutions. In addition to undertaking contract business transformation consulting roles at communications agency Paper + Spark and Woolworths Group, she was also the chief operating officer at Hogarth Australia from 2018-2022.
The Pistol claimed strong results in FY25, including the re-signing of major clients, including Forty Winks, Mars, Liquor Legends, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. In March, coffee maker Jura gave its media account to the agency, following a pitch process.
Gumtree Australia’s former digital performance lead, Tudor Steanescu, joined the business to serve as its head of owned channels in May. Over one month later, The Pistol gained two new account directors in Amy Peddlesden and Rachel Fyfe.
