The PR Team wins Solomon Airlines’ public relations account
Solomon Airlines has appointed The PR Team to its public relations account.
The appointment comes six months after the agency also won the Australia and New Zealand PR account for Hawaiian Airlines.
The agency has been briefed with supporting the airline’s media relations and commercial publicity.
Solomon airlines has recently launched a new direct flight from Brisbane to Western Province island New Georgia’s Munda Airport.
The PR Team founder, Heather Jeffery, said that her team was glad to help the airline launch the new flightpath as its first project.
“A collective vision and a great deal of hard work has already occurred by the stakeholders in Solomon Islands future economic and tourism development,” Jeffery said.
“We were delighted to help the team launch the first international flight to Munda and look forward to supporting the airline and its partners as they move towards greater, sustainable tourism development.”
Brett Gebers, chief executive officer of Solomon Airlines, said the agency was chosen due to its willingness to also work closely with partners in Solomon Islands tourism development.
“The past two years have been a busy period of change as we completed important steps to rebuild and strengthen Solomon Airlines,” Gebers said.
“The Solomon Islands is an incredible natural destination and with our partners we are pursuing careful tourism development, creating greater airline access and encouraging the development of accommodation and infrastructure.”
