The Sphere Agency behind new ad for Scoopon
Melbourne’s The Sphere Agency is the agency behind a new ad for group buying site Scoopon.
The Sphere Agency was tipped to win the business by Mumbrella last month.
The Australian group buying operation has been looking for an agency to handle above- and below-the-line activity, with a focus on digital.
Scoopon has ambitions to become a household name after securing funding from a deal involving James Packer and Andrew Bassett, the co-founder of Seek.
Fresh and interesting take on the whole over-saturated group buying category.

Really, Groupie? I would have said it would have been fresh and interesting as an ad for Target in 1996.

Congratulations to Sydney buses for building the first bus time machine. I got on my bus this morning and it was 2011 and it now looks like I have been transported back to the 1990’s

Who pays for the first 15 seconds of that ad? Hopefully not Scoopon.

Doesn’t really do anything for me – doesn’t even educate on the category, or show the benefits

Contrary to some other opinions I reckon it’s quite fresh, at least it’s different to every other group buying site. No problems with this at all.

I’m glad they’re not talking about everything being 1/2 price. Nice change.

That ad was made in Italy in 1986 and has just been CGI’d with the Scoopon logo.
Interesting library music too – sounds like 9 seconds of ‘Sympathy for the Devil’?
