The Sydney Skinny on February 28

The Sydney Skinny will be held on February 28 at Cobbler’s Beach, Middle Head, NSW.

The announcement:

Take the plunge in 2016 with Sydney’s most exhilarating nude harbour swim, The Sydney Skinny presented by nudie, on Sunday 28th February.

Welcome the New Year in and celebrate life by leaving your clothes, constraints and inhibitions on the sand.

Challenge yourself with an invigorating nude swim at Cobbler’s Beach, Middle Head, NSW, protected by the privacy and stunning surrounds of Sydney Harbour National Park.

Thousands of people will take to the calm and pristine water for the fourth annual Sydney Skinny, which is a fully ticketed, spectator-free event aimed to encourage people to feel comfortable in their own skin.

Registrations are now open to people aged 18 years and over for two swim courses (900m and 300m). Both are non-competitive untimed swims, suitable for people of all swimming abilities.

The Sydney Skinny founder, Nigel Marsh said: “The Sydney Skinny is an absolutely fantastic day out with lots of laughter and a focus on health and happiness.

“It’s not about nudity and it’s not a competition. The event is about leaving all pretences behind, kick-starting a new and exciting chapter in life and focusing on the things that unite us and make life worth living.”

Entrants are invited to raise funds for official charity partners, the McGrath Foundation and the Foundation of National Parks and Wildlife, or a charity of their choice.

The Sydney Skinny is proudly supported by writer, speaker and founder of the Body Image Movement, Taryn Brumfitt and nudie ambassador and media personality, Tim Dormer.
