Bayes joins from Seven

The Trade Desk GM, Australia and New Zealand, James Bayes, who joined the company from the Seven Network in 2020, said the opening of another Australian office has been a long time coming.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our office in Melbourne. We have wanted for some time to build a significant presence outside of Sydney and this is our next step on that journey.

“We expect this to be a significant year of innovation for The Trade Desk and we are excited to drive the next phase of growth in Australia and New Zealand. We hope this announcement will trigger excitement with our customers about what we can deliver together.”

The Trade Desk already has a location in Sydney, with the new office to open in Southbank.

Kali Guillas has returned to Australia to join the team as lead director, client strategy after working out of Singapore in a leadership role for The Trade Desk.

She revealed the company is currently actively recruiting for multiple roles.

“I’m excited to be part of a talented team who are as passionate about our industry and this opportunity as I am. This depth of talent will ensure that we are well positioned to service our already extensive client base in Victoria and execute our next phase of growth.

“We are also actively looking to recruit for a number of roles, so the search is underway for the best and brightest talent to join our already impressive team.”

Bayes added: “In recent years we’ve invested heavily in local engineering, data science, API, support and solutions architects in addition to our business teams to deliver hands on support to our partners from world class talent.

“As data driven marketing becomes mainstream, the addition of our new Melbourne office will bring clients even closer to the product and enable greater responsiveness to their unique business challenges.

“We’re convinced more than ever that brands and agencies need hands on, local support to help them navigate their increasingly complex and unique marketing technology needs.”
