Brand experience agency The Park opens first Australian office

London-founded marketing agency, The Park, has announced it is expanding to Australia, opening its first local office in Sydney.

Mumbrella can reveal The Park’s Australian operations will be led by new local managing director Erika Morton, who brings over 20 years of industry experience to the role.

The Park was founded by Jack Lamacraft, Lloyd Major and Will Worsdell in London in 2018, but the trio have extensive agency experience in Australia.

Lamacraft co-founded M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, Worsdell served as head of strategy at Mediacom and Major was production director at Host Havas.

Lamacraft said launching a Sydney office for The Park was part of the plan for the agency right from the beginning.

“Launching an office in Sydney has always been part of the plan. The founding team has a strong connection here – we have over 20 years experience in the market and friends and family here, it feels like a homecoming,” he said.

“We can’t wait to prove our point of difference and have some fun along the way.”

He added that the team is excited to work with Morton again:”We’re excited to open the doors to our Sydney office and couldn’t be happier to partner with Erika.

“Our working relationship goes back over ten years and I can’t wait to see what she can achieve with us in this market.

“She has deep industry local knowledge and a passion for delivering excellent brand experiences for clients. She is loved by colleagues and clients alike.”

Morton’s experience includes time with some of the world’s biggest communications agencies, including M&C Saatchi Group and Clemenger Group. She has worked on Australian and global brands like Audi, Commonwealth Bank, Optus, Reebok, Smeg, Tabcorp and Visa.

She declared now is a “brilliant time to join” the agency. “I’ve admired the momentum of the agency, really believe in their values and ethos and I can’t wait to deliver some standout work in Australia,” she said.

“We want to create results driven work that adds value to our clients by delivering on key business metrics.”

The Park’s new Australian office is located in Alexandria, Sydney. The agency’s brand experience work includes live event production, digital experiences, social media campaigns, experience design and content creation.

Co-founder Worsdell, who is currently global strategy director, said: “The Park has a unique combination of people with eclectic backgrounds that stretch far beyond the world of marketing, this drives the ideas we create.

The Park currently works with the likes of Amazon, BBC, DreamWorks, Google, Great British Racing, Marriott, NBCUniversal, Primark, Red Bull, and Westin Hotels.
