The Urban List looks to expand through more travel coverage

Australian lifestyle guide The Urban List is to add a travel section to its coverage as part of wider plan for expansion.

The Urban List will add travel coverage

Head of sales Tamara Pannett said a survey of readers nine out of ten agreed they’d like to see more travel coverage which has led to the launch of the vertical.

She said: “Both travel and expansion have become key priorities for us and in terms of what consumers use us to plan for, there’s five top things: food and drink, activities and things to do, local events, accommodation and shopping.”

Pannett says the travel vertical will appear on The Urban List in November

According to research conducted by The Urban List, travel content delivers five times more audience engagement than all other content combined.

So far The Urban List covers Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Auckland, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

While Pannett said readers want to see coverage expanded to Tasmania and Europe.

The news comes after an expansion of The Urban List team this year, with Pannett and the company’s first general manager Damien Rossi both joining in June.
